Quick Flip
Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 9, 2026
This draft explains the information Quick Flip may collect and use while the app is in beta. It should be reviewed by counsel before public launch.
Information We May Collect
- Account information, such as email address, username, login status, and subscription status.
- Photos users take, upload, or choose from their phone for scan and research features.
- Saved scans, flip log entries, listing drafts, item notes, buy prices, sold prices, payment method notes, and platform choices.
- Member room posts, questions, replies, and moderation-related information.
- Payment and subscription status handled through Stripe. Quick Flip should not store full card numbers.
- Device, browser, diagnostic, analytics, and server log information needed to run, secure, and improve the app.
How We Use Information
- To provide scanning, barcode lookup, AI research, comp estimates, flip logs, member rooms, and listing tools.
- To sync scans and saved data across devices when cloud sync is enabled.
- To operate subscriptions, beta access, account support, and fraud prevention.
- To diagnose bugs, improve scan quality, and improve product features.
Sharing
We may share information with service providers that help operate Quick Flip, such as hosting, database, authentication, payment, analytics, or AI processing providers. We do not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of selling a customer list for money.
Photos and User Content
Only upload photos and notes you have the right to use. Avoid uploading private documents, addresses, payment details, or other sensitive information that is not needed for a scan.
Retention and Deletion
We keep information as long as needed to provide the service, improve the app, meet legal requirements, or resolve disputes. Account deletion and data export tools should be finalized before public launch.
Privacy Choices
Users should be able to request access, correction, deletion, or support by using the contact page or in-app feedback. Some requests may require identity verification.
California Privacy Note
California privacy laws may require a notice at or before collection and a privacy policy that explains categories of personal information and purposes of use. This policy is a starting point, not a final compliance review.
